WHAT WAS IT FOR?

The challenge was on - to raise awareness and funds in aid of two great charities. And we did! Our amazing hikers raised a huge total, including gift aid, of

£5712

for the two charities below

Zarach

Thousands of children in Leeds are going to sleep hungry and cold; without a proper bed of their own. Poverty is a real problem that has a significant effect on a child’s education.

Zarach help to provide beds and basics to children living in poverty. They support families in crisis to rise up from surviving to thriving, giving every child the opportunity to eat, sleep and learn.

Yorkshire Cat Rescue

Yorkshire Cat Rescue exists to save the lives of abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens in Yorkshire and beyond.

Their vision is a world where all cats and kittens have happy lives, free from harm and unnecessary suffering. Their mission is to do the right thing for every cat that comes into our care. We help cats in need have a good life, and inspire everyone to treat them with the compassion and respect they deserve.

HOW IT WENT

We had an amazing day in the Lake District!

26 participants covered started the challenge, going on to reach 4 or 8 Peaks

Cloudy conditions in the morning gave way to sunshine in the afternoon. It was a warm day so plenty of water was required!
